Scientoons visit  Mangalore, Karnataka

Mangalore is the gateway to Karnataka. Mangalore is named after the Goddess Mangaladevi. Traditionally, it was an important trading port with ties with the Persian Gulf states dating back to the 14th century. With its strategic location, it was occupied by a number of dynasties and colonial rulers, namely the Portuguese in the mid-16th century. In the 18th century, its control was contested by Haidar Ali and Tipu Sultan on one hand and the British on the other. Under the Mysore sultans (1763), it became a strategic ship building base, which was ceded to the British in 1799 after numerous sieges.
Mangalore is one of the fastest developing cities in India. Many multinational corporations and domestic corporations are opening their branches in Mangalore. Infosys Technologies has 2 Development Centers in Mangalore with over 3000 employees. Corporation Bank and Karnataka Bank have their headquarters inside the city and Syndicate Bank HQ is in Manipal. Other industries are MRPL, MCF, BASF, KIOCL, Ultratech Cement Plant are some of the other industries in the city.

We created history today by developing the first animated scientoons of the world. This was accomplished by children from Palestine who were working under the guidance of my Palestinian friend Ms. Samar Darwish Kirresh. My another friend Maria who works in University of Sao Paulo, Brazil played a very key role by her presentation, guidance and encouragement to the students of Palestine. We all had video conferencing today and we shared the success together.
If you can animate my scientoons then one such Indian student and one student from Palestine will get a free visit to Brazil. This was stated by Prof. Maria from Brazil. You can log on to my website

Scientoonics – Study of Scientoons?

About a week ago on Facebook, a friend posted the following diagram (a) (from her immunity lecture) and this gave me inspiration for this post. In her own words, the diagram is about tumour immunity and how the different cells work together effectively to promote the ‘killing’.
